The Haryana Police have informed PTI that stones were pelted and cars set on fire during a religious procession in Haryana’s Nuh adjoining Gurugram on Monday. Six people were shot dead and more than 20 policemen were injured, police said.
Gurugram district administration announced that all schools, colleges, and educational institutes will remain closed on Tuesday here. The order has been issued by District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav.
Apart from Gurugram, incidents of violence were also reported in the Palwal district, where a mob set more than 25 huts ablaze in Parshuram Colony. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to the police.
